She continues to precept nutrition students at the graduate level nationwide.
Monica is committed to helping people overcome eating disorders and optimize athletic performance and wellness. She has spent 18 years helping clients create lasting connections to nutrition and movement. Monica takes a non-diet, weight-inclusive, trauma-informed approach to patient care and believes this is the foundation for developing a world-class relationship with food and our bodies.
In the past, Monica has worked as a clinical dietitian at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Northwest Kidney Centers. She has a background in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, HIV/AIDS, cancer, autoimmune illnesses, and neurological, psychiatric, metabolic, and gastrointestinal disorders. She has served as a board member for the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals - Puget Sound Chapter and developed and managed a residential nutrition program for eating disorders in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Monica is especially interested in supporting athletes who’ve experienced a traumatic brain injury.
When she’s not in the office, you can find Monica spending time with family and friends, cross-country skiing, cycling, writing, tango dancing (or trying, rather) and volunteering time with some of her favorite programs (Big Brothers Big Sisters, Fred Hutch, and Hamilton Scholars).
